1. 1st State Ranking Tournament

The 1st State Ranking Tournament got underway from 29th July at the University Sport Pavilion. Boosterites won 3 out of the 4 titles to be won in the Cadet and Sub-junior events.

The Winners :

Cadet Boys : Siddhesh Pande

Cadet Girls : Urvi Walve

Sub-junior Girls : Rutuja Khopkar

2. Boosterites on the way to National Glory.

Boosterite Pooja Sahasrabudhe brought golden glory for India by winning the Gold Medal at the SAF games underway at Jaipur. It was a 1-2 for India as she beat Ankita Das also of India in the Junior Girls finals.

3. Pooja Sahasrabudhe was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 7,00,000/- by the Government of Maharashtra. The cash prize was for the Silver Medal she won at the Commonwealth Youth Games held in Pune last year.

4. 2009 - The Season begins..... and Boosterites dominate from the outset

Boosterites logged 5 1st place and 4 2nd place finishes at the 3rd Thane District Ranking Tournament.

At the 2nd Thane District Ranking tournament Booster Club bettered its winning performance by taking 6 1st place finishes and 3 2nd place finishes.

Booster Club dominated the 1st Thane District Ranking Tournament with 4 1st place and 6 2nd place finishes.

5. Indian paddlers return with a rich haul of 7 medals at the 18th Commonwealth Championship in Glasgow, Scotland.

Both men and women paddlers gave sterling performances at the recently concluded 18th Commonwealth Championship. Amongst them they bagged 7 medals in all, 1 Gold, 2 Silver and 4 Bronze medals.

Madhurika Patkar of the Booster Club won 2 Bronze medals. Partnering Amal Raj she won the Mixed Doubles Bronze. She was also a member of the Women's team which bagged Bronze.
